Spring is in full swing and that means a whole new set of fashion trends to try. At the top of our list of the hottest trends of the season is pink—and today I’m going to introduce tips on how to wear the ultimate feminine hue.
With many designers pushing its resurgence on the fashion scene, pink has become a huge part of Spring/Summer 2017’s color palette. Subdued powder pinks and strawberry pinks have been around for a few seasons now, but this spring, we are definitely seeing a different kind of pink—this season, they weren’t your average rosy pink, but more vivid pink pinks. The 2017 Spring/Summer runways were filled with various interpretations of pink with the industry’s top designers wholeheartedly embracing everything from candy pink to neon pink, raspberry, and deep cherry in their collections.
* All-pink Outfits
It is officially time to rock pink and bring spring into your wardrobe! One spring staple getting the pink treatment is the dresses. On the runways, as if to prove the trend, many of the industry’s top designers introduced some lust-worthy and oh-so-beautiful pink pink dresses. For an evening out, swap your usual LBD (little black dress) for a minimalist midi-length hot pink dress featuring no or little detailing and instantly pull off an elegant look. Top off the outfit with a relaxed trench coat, a pair of nude pumps, and a tote bag to nail your spring fashionista look. For the office, it’s officially okay to go all out in an all-pink outfit. Opt for a flowy, rosy pink blouse featuring extremely feminine detailings like lace or frills and team up with a pair of relaxed slacks in the same or similar color as the top. Finish the look with a pink colored blazer and create a chic tone-on-tone look. Don’t forget to keep accessories to a minimum and let the outfit speak for itself.
* Pink Outerwear
Simple and elegant pink colored spring outerwear like a candy pink oversized trench coat is all you need to take your spring look from drab to totally fab. Play with a variety of pink colored spring staples—everything from pink blazers, blouson to bombers and trench coats. For the office, switch out your regular black blazer for a toned down raspberry pink one and instantly update your office look. Team up the blazer with a plain black sweater and black slacks combo for a functional yet stylish look.
* Pink Accessories
Anyone can look great in pink, but if you are not a big fan of the trend, start slow with a pink bag or shoes. Accessories in bolder hues of pink like fuchsia pink and candy pink will spice up any basics you have for spring. Opt for hot pink sneakers, ties, clutches, scarves, and more and instantly punch up your outfit. For the office, simply add a pair of pink colored pumps to an all-beige or all-black outfit and you will have an entirely different look.
Rock pink now and give your wardrobe a sweet new makeover!
