Korean Male, Female Football Teams Win 1st Group Matches

South Korea’s men's and women's football teams have won their first matches on their way to the Incheon Asian Games.
Led by manager Lee Kwang-jong, the South Korean men’s football team led a 3-0 victory against Malaysia in the first Group A match on Sunday.
The men’s team will have a second group match on Wednesday night in Ansan, Gyeonggi Province against Saudi Arabia who beat Laos 3-0 on Sunday in its first group match in Incheon.
Led by manager Yoon Deok-yeo, the South Korean women’s football team also had a win on Sunday, defeating Thailand 5-0. They will face off against India in the second group match on Wednesday.
Both the men’s and women’s football teams are eyeing gold medals in the Incheon Asian Games set to open on Friday.
