Park Vows to Provide Support for Successful Asian Games

President Park Geun-hye has vowed to provide support to hold the Incheon Asian Games safely and successfully.
During a meeting with International Olympic Committee (IOC) President Thomas Bach Thursday morning, Park said that the Incheon Asian Games will be meaningful as all of the 45 member countries of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) will participate.
The meeting was requested by the IOC president who is visiting South Korea to attend the opening ceremony of the Incheon Asian Games on September 19.
Bach said that the IOC is looking forward to a bigger event, the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics scheduled to be held in South Korea in 2018.
The presidential office said that the two sides exchanged views on the preparations made so far for the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics and measures in place for a successful Asian Games.
