South Korean swimmer Park Tae-hwan will vie against his main rival, China's Sun Yang, in the men's 200-meter freestyle event at the Incheon Asian Games on Sunday.
Park will compete in the qualifying round in the third group around 9 a.m. on Sunday while Sun will follow in the fourth group.
Should both swimmers qualify for the final round, Park and Sun are expected to directly compete against each other for the first time in this Asian Games around 7 p.m.
Park won the gold medal in the previous two Asian Games for the men's freestyle 200-meter competition.
Sun Yang holds the record for Asia at one minute and 44-point-47 seconds, while Park's best competition record stands at one minute and 44-point-80 seconds.
Park and Sun will also swim in the 400-meter and one-thousand-five-hundred meter races for the men's individual events.
