Less than 30 percent of South Koreans are living a healthy lifestyle.

A survey by the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention released on Wednesday showed just 27 percent of adults were leading a healthy life by not smoking, drinking in moderation and taking walks regularly last year.

The figure dropped by one-point-two percentage points from 2015, and plunged seven-point-two percentage points from 2008.

The ratio of people who considered themselves obese was 27-point-nine percent, up one-point-six percentage points from the previous year.
