The Korea Foundation is aiming to boost the expertise of professors of Korean studies teaching overseas.
From Wednesday until Friday, it is holding an intensive session at Kookmin University in Seoul.
A total of 27 visiting professors  will be dispatched to 25 schools for a year including to Boston College in the U.S. and Nehru University in India.
Special lectures will deal with Korea's economic development and democratization. The foundation says the professors will play a role in broadening the interest of foreign students in Korea.
