Apartment prices in Seoul have fallen for the first time in 17 months.

The Korea Appraisal Board said Thursday apartments in the capital Monday were on average zero-point-03 percent less expensive than the same time last week.

The last time prices dipped was February of last year, but just zero-point-01 percent.

The government announced stronger policies last week to stabilize the overheating real estate market by designating 25 districts of Seoul as either overly speculative or speculative investment zones.
