The Environment Ministry has recognized additional victims of a toxic humidifier sterilizer case.

A ministry committee formally recognized as victims an additional 97 people Thursday out of one-thousand-252 people seeking to register under that status. Separately, the committee also decided to recognize as victims 17 unborn babies based on prenatal criteria introduced in March.
The total number of formally recognized victims who will receive compensation now stands at 388.

Overall, some five-thousand-780 people have reported to the government that they were the victims of the deadly humidifier disinfectant products.
