U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Policy Joseph Yun met with Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Igor Morgulov in Moscow to discuss the situation on the Korean Peninsula.
In a press release on Tuesday, the Russian foreign ministry said the officials exchanged views on the current political affairs in Northeast Asia following the latest UN Security Council resolution prompted by North Korea's test of a hydrogen bomb on September third.
Russia stressed that political and diplomatic means are the only way to resolve issues on the peninsula, adding that it is ready to take part in efforts to seek a comprehensive solution.
