China has started using the word "condemn" against North Korea at UN Security Council(UNSC) meetings since Pyongyang's sixth nuclear test.

China has so far used the expression "strongly oppose" at UNSC meetings regarding the North's continued nuclear and ballistic missile tests.
However, Chinese Ambassador to the UN Liu Jieyi used the term "condemn" for the first time during the emergency UNSC session held on September fourth right after the North's most powerful nuclear test.
In the Monday session where UNSC Resolution 2375 was adopted, the ambassador also stated that North Korea again conducted a nuclear test despite opposition by the international community and China "firmly opposes and strongly condemns" the North's provocation.
The changed tone appears to reflect that China is getting more serious about the North Korean nuclear threats.
