The 2017 K-POP World Festival kicks off in Changwon at 7 p.m. Friday.
A total of 13 teams from countries including the U.S., Canada, Malaysia, Vietnam and India have made it to the finals and will be vying for their singing and dance performances to take the top spot which comes with prize money of 12 million won, or more than ten thousand dollars.
Top K-pop stars like BTS, Twice and Ailey will also take to the stage to heat up the excitement.
The contestants went through qualifiers in 72 countries to make it to the finals in Korea.
The festival will air on KBS 2TV on October 14th and KBS World will broadcast it to over 100 countries.
