Choi Sung-hwan won the title of "Halla" champion at this  year’s championship for ssireum, or Korean traditional wrestling, organized by the Industrial Bank of Korea for the Chuseok holiday.
Choi beat Lee Ju-yong three-to-two in the finals of the "Halla," or under-108 kilogram category,  held in Gumi, North Gyeongsang Province on Wednesday.
The latest victory was Choi’s third for this season. He previously won a lunar New Year’s championship and a championship held in June to mark Dano, a traditional Korean holiday that falls on the fifth day of the fifth month on the lunar calendar.
Wednesday marked the first time for Choi to win the Chuseok ssireum event.
