British author Kazuo Ishiguro has been enjoying a sharp uptick in book sales in South Korea, after being awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature this week.

According to Korean internet bookseller Aladdin, 885 copies of Ishiguro's works were sold in a matter of hours after the award was announced on Thursday.

The 2009 translation of 'Never Let Me Go' sold 263 copies while the 'Remains of the Day' published the following year sold 245 copies, bumping up the books to number one and two on the bestsellers list for the day.
