South Korea lost 4-2 to Russia in a men's football friendly match in Moscow on Saturday.

In the match at the VEB Area, Russia’s Fyodor Smolov and Aleksei Miranchuk each scored a goal, and South Korean defender Kim Ju-young conceded two own goals in three minutes during the second half.

Defender Kwon Kyung-won scored the first goal for Korea in the 87th minute before forward Ji Dong-won added another during injury time.

Russia, the 2018 FIFA World Cup host, ranks 64th, while South Korea ranks 51st.

This was South Korea's first international match since they qualified for the 2018 World Cup last month. The team will face Morocco in Switzerland on Tuesday night in another friendly.
