South Korea ranked second in the overall medal tally of the 2017 World Archery Youth Championships after grabbing four gold medals, three silver medals and one bronze medal.
In finals of the recurve junior men's event held last Sunday in Rosario, Argentina, South Korea’s Jeong Tae-yeong took the gold while fellow South Korean Han Jae-yeop grabbed the silver medal.
South Korea’s Kim Kyoung-eun secured the gold in the recurve junior women’s finals while Park So-hui won the gold in the recurve cadet women category.
Yong Hyeok-jung added South Korea’s second silver medal in the recurve cadet men’s finals while Kim Pil-joong grabbed a bronze in the same event.
The recurve junior men team added the fourth gold medal while the recurve cadet mixed team won the nation’s third silver medal.
South Korea, which competed only in recurve events, came in second in the youth championships after the U.S. which dominated compound events.
South Korea also secured a place for one boy and one girl to the Buenos Aires 2018 Youth Olympic Games during the qualification tournament for 2018 Youth Olympic Games.
