The 22nd Busan International Film Festival opens for a ten-day run Thursday.
 
The festival’s opening ceremony, scheduled for six p.m., features actor Jang Dong-gun as well as actress and member of K-pop supergroup Girls’ Generation, Yoona.
 
Hundreds of spectators gather to watch directors, producers and actors walk the red carpet, including this year actress Moon Geun-young who stars in the opening film, “Glass Garden.”
 
World-renowned film directors Oliver Stone of the U.S., Li Xiaofeng of China and Bahman Ghobadi of Iran are also attending.
 
A total of 298 films from 75 countries will be screened during the ten-day festival at five major theaters, including the Busan Cinema Center and CGV Centum City.
