A French writer who won a Nobel prize in literature in 2008 has published a new novel set in Seoul. 

Jean Marie Gustave Le Clezio said on Thursday in a news conference in Seoul that his new novel "Bitna: Under the Sky of Seoul" contains diverse stories of Seoulites that he witnessed and heard about. 

The novel, which is Le Clezio's second book set in Korea, was released in Korean first. It will be published in English and French at the end of this month. 

The Nobel laureate taught French language and literature at Ewha Womans University in 2007.
