The South Korean fantasy blockbuster "Along With the Gods: The Two Worlds" has surpassed ten million in ticket sales, becoming the first movie this year to reach the milestone.
According to the film’s distributor Lotte Entertainment, the film sold ten million and 198 tickets as of midnight Thursday.
Based on a popular webtoon of the same title, the film became the 16th Korean movie and 20th movie of all time to surpass the milestone at the local box office.
The fantasy film about guardians of death and the afterlife reached the milestone 16 days after its release on December 20th.
"Roaring Currents," which is the top South Korean movie in terms of ticket sales, hit the ten-million mark 12 days after its release.
It is the first time a local fantasy film reached the milestone.
