The Main Press Center of the PyeongChang Olympic Winter Games opened on Tuesday, 30 days before the sporting event launches in Gangwon Province.
According to the Games’ organizing committee, 62 media outlets from 58 countries, 111 broadcasting companies from 31 countries and 35 news agencies will cover the Olympics and Paralympics from the press center.
In addition, some 270 journalists from 68 domestic media organizations will report on-site on the performance of athletes from both home and abroad.
The International Broadcast Center(IBC), which was built near the press center last year, also officially launched on Tuesday. Some 10-thousand media people from around 60 broadcasting companies will transmit images of the Winter Games to viewers worldwide from the IBC.
