Heads of government agencies related to the fourth Industrial Revolution visited the parliament and pledged unrelenting support for innovative growth led by the private sector.

Trade, Industry and Energy Minister Paik Un-gyu, Minister of SMEs and Startups Hong Jong-hak and Financial Services Commission Chairman Choi Jong-ku on Thursday gave briefings during a plenary session of the special National Assembly committee on the fourth Industrial Revolution.

In opening remarks, Minister Paik said the private sector's leading role is crucial for the fourth Industrial Revolution while the government should act as a trustworthy supporter.

He said the government will do its best to foster an environment where companies can boldly invest and innovate, and help industrial competence and capabilities also reach smaller businesses and provincial regions.
