North Korean leader Kim Jong-un says that there are no obstacles that his country cannot overcome even if the enemies sanction the country for ten or 100 years.
The North's official Korean Central News Agency(KCNA) reported that Kim made the remark on Friday during his inspection of the National Academy of Science, which plays a key role in the North's nuclear development.
In his first public activity this year after his New Year speech, Kim said that his country has the foundation of a self-supporting economy and has fostered scientific and technological capabilities.
He added that North Korean scientists are making great contributions to the country's economic development and improving the people's lives under difficult conditions.
The report said that Kim was accompanied by senior officials of the North's ruling Workers' Party.
