Finance Minister Kim Dong-yeon said Friday that the government will work to yield tangible results through innovative growth this year.

Speaking at a meeting of an innovative growth support group, Kim said innovative growth must produce results that people and businesses can actually sense.

Kim vowed best efforts for such results to come about and ordered ministry officials to provide all necessary policy support.

The minister said the support group will hold monthly meetings to review progress made and tangible results. The group will also personally give briefings during meetings of economy-related ministers.

Kim said the key tasks of the support growth will be discussed during an upcoming meeting on innovative growth that will be chaired by the president at the end of March.
