Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min has become the first Asian soccer player to finish the season in the top ten scoring chart of the English Premier League(EPL).
Although Son failed to score in Tottenham’s final league game against Leicester City at London’s Wembley Stadium on Sunday, he ended the season with 12 goals to secure joint tenth place on the scoring list on Sunday.
Last season, Son scored 14 league goals for Tottenham to claim the single season scoring record by an Asian player in the EPL. However, he was only ranked 13th on the list of top goalscorers in the league.
