The ruling Democratic Party(DP) says job creation, solutions to the fine dust issue and peace on the Korean Peninsula are some of its pledges for the upcoming local elections.

The National Election Commission on Wednesday disclosed ten major election pledges by each of the eleven political parties participating in the June 13th provincial elections through its Web site and a mobile app.

Other pledges from the DP include happiness for young people, public safety and innovative growth.

The opposition Liberty Korea Party has pledged policies for small and big businesses and job seekers as well as strengthening national security.

Three other opposition parties, the Bareunmirae Party, the Party for Democracy and Peace and the Justice Party, also announced pledges, including those concerning public livelihood, economy and education.
