Second Vice Foreign Minister Cho Hyun will attend the upcoming G20 Foreign Ministers’ meeting in Argentina.
Seoul’s Foreign Ministry said on Thursday that Cho would join the gathering in Buenos Aires on behalf of Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha.
The ministry said Cho will explain the major outcomes of last month's inter-Korean summit. He will also seek the G20’s support for achieving a complete denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and bringing permanent peace to the region through the success of the upcoming U.S.-North Korea summit.
On the sidelines of the two-day meeting that starts on Sunday, Cho will also hold bilateral talks with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Sullivan.
