A South Korean taekwondo team has performed a demonstration in Rome a day after its historic performance in Vatican City.
The team from World Taekwondo(WT), an international organization led by South Korea, performed for about 30 minutes at the Piazza di Spagna on Thursday in front of 24-hundred people.
The demonstration took place ahead of the annual World Taekwondo Grand Prix Series set to begin on Friday in Rome for a three-day run.
The WT demonstration team held a similar performance on Thursday in St. Peter's Square in Vatican City in the presence of Pope Francis and thousands of people gathered from around the world.
The two Koreas had planned to perform together at the Vatican on Thursday, but the North Korea-led International Taekwondo Federation notified its decision to withdraw from the joint event last week.
