South Korea was held to a goalless draw against Bolivia on Thursday in a warm-up match for the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Russia.
The Korean side dominated possession in the match at Tivoli-Neu Stadium in Innsbruck, Austria, but failed to find the back of the net as poor finishing let them down.
Head coach Shin Tae-yong opted to start Jeonbuk Hyundai striker Kim Shin-wook in place of star forward Son Heung-min, who began the game on the substitutes’ bench.
Son was brought on in the 60th minute but was unable to help the Taeguk Warriors break through the Bolivian defense as the game ended in a disappointing draw.
South Korea will play Senegal in Austria on Monday before flying to Saint Petersburg, their World Cup base, on Tuesday.
