Major labor umbrella organizations of the two Koreas have agreed to hold soccer matches in Seoul next month.

South Korea's two leading umbrella union groups said that the North's General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea notified them on Monday that it will take part in the workers' soccer matches in Seoul from August 10th to 12th.

South Korea's Korean Confederation of Trade Unions(KCTU) and the Federation of Korean Trade Unions(FKTU) proposed the games on June 26th.

The unions said that about 80 North Koreans will visit for the games, adding that their lodgings and the venues for the matches have yet to be decided.

The two Koreas held similar workers' soccer matches in 1999 in the North’s capital Pyongyang and in Changwon in South Korea in 2007. The most recent games were held in October 2015 in Pyongyang.
