Los Angeles Dodgers' South Korean starter Ryu Hyun-jin turned in a brilliant outing to win his first postseason start in four years on Thursday.
Ryu tossed seven shutout innings against the Atlanta Braves at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles in Game One of the National League Division Series, helping his team to a six-zero victory.
The South Korean pitcher's only previous postseason win came in Game Three of the NL Championship Series against the St. Louis Cardinals in 2013.
With his swinging variety of fastball, cutter, slider, curve and changeup, the left-hander gave up just four singles and struck out eight without walking anyone.
At the plate, Ryu also got a single off Sean Newcomb in the bottom of the fourth for his first postseason hit.
