Foreign Ministers of South Korea and Sweden will hold a meeting in Seoul next week to discuss bilateral and global issues, including North Korea.

Seoul’s Foreign Ministry said on Wednesday that during a meeting with Swedish Foreign Minister Margot Wallström, slated for next Monday, Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha will explain Seoul's efforts for a peaceful solution to the North Korean nuclear issue, and discuss cooperation between Seoul and Stockholm.

Sweden is a nonpermanent member of the UN Security Council for this year as well as for last year, and has a diplomatic mission in the North.

Wallstrom will visit South Korea for three days beginning next Monday to meet with Kang as well and also cheer on Swedish athletes competing at the PyeongChang Winter Olympics.
